This Logo represents the SKY, MOUNTAIN, SEA and EARTH as well as the MALEO BIRD as one of the faunal wealth of Indonesia. The SKY visualizes the act of embracing and protecting.The MOUNTAIN and EARTH is a visualization of integrity and stability.

The MOUNTAIN also visualizes a symbol of positive development. The shape of the mountain visualizes an upward growth. As a directional representation, it visualizes a positive development for the entirety of ASEAN. Conceptually, the SEA symbolizes connection and unity of every island between countries within the region. The MALEO BIRD symbolizes the Faunal wealth of Indonesia as it is a signature bird residing in Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The overall shape of the logo is very dynamic. This also represents responsiveness and adaptiveness in responding the dynamic changes in internal and external of ASEAN.
