ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting Plus (ADSOM-Plus) was held on August 3rd, 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The meeting was led by the Chair of ADSOM-Plus, Secretary General of Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia, Air Marshal Donny Ermawan T., and was attended by all 10 ASEAN Member States and 8 Plus countries, namely Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Russia, and USA, as well as the ASEAN Secretariat.

The meeting was an opportunity for ADSOM-Plus members to engage in constructive dialogue, exchange best practices, and explore innovative solutions to the challenges that lie ahead. As Chair, Indonesia believes that by fostering a spirit of cooperation, mutual understanding, and respect, member states can chart a course towards a brighter future for ASEAN and its partners.
