The Bilateral Meeting between Indonesia and Timor Leste was held on December 26th - 27th, 2022 in Dili, Timor Leste.

The Indonesia delegations was led by the Deputy Director of Defence International Cooperation, Directorate General of Defence Strategy, the Ministry of Defence of Indonesia, Colonel Inf. Kurniawan Firmuzi Syarifuddin along with representatives from the Directorate General of Defence Strategy and Defence Strategic Information Center, Defence Strategic Installation Agency, the Ministry of Defence of Indonesia, Staff of Operations of the Indonesian Navy, as well as Indonesian Defence Attache and Staff of the Indonesia Embassy in Dili, Timor Leste.

The delegations of Timor Leste was led by the Director for Political and Security of ASEAN Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Timor Leste, Ms. Elisa Maria da Silva and accompanied by the representatives from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Timor Leste.

This meeting was held with the aim of preparing the series of back-to-back meetings of the ASEAN Regional Forum Defense Officials' Dialogue (ARF DOD) and the ARF Inter-sessional Group on Confidence Building Measures and Preventive Diplomacy (ARF ISG on CBM and PD). Both meetings are to be co-chaired by Indonesia and Timor Leste in 2023.
